WVWA offers programming for all those interested in birding, bird biology and conservation, and learning to bird by sight and sound. Bird walks and trips will be led by Naturalist, Kristy Morley, and take place on WVWA’s beautiful preserves or other local birding spots.
During most walks, species seen or heard will be recorded and the information will be submitted to eBird, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s online database. eBird is an important resource where birders can share their sightings, and help ornithologists and conservation biologists track bird abundance and distribution across the globe.
We hope you’ll join us in taking advantage of all the great birding our area has to offer, and help us as we collect valuable data.
