Environmental Education Programs

Our Environmental Educator and teaching
guides offer a variety of programs to increase awareness and knowledge of the natural
world, and the place humans hold in it. You will begin your lesson with an overview of the
key concepts. The balance of the visit will be spent outdoors on the trails of the Four
Mills Nature Reserve or the Penllyn Natural Area. We emphasize a hands-on approach to
learning. Therefore we divide into groups of about 10 children to promote individual
involvement in discovery activities.
The duration of the programs varies with age. Programs can be altered to suit your
group. We also offer the option of bringing snack or lunch to eat at our outdoor picnic
tables, or indoors.
