All walks start at 8:00 a.m.
The Walk on the Wild Side offers a chance to experience the beautiful Green Ribbon Trail that follows the Wissahickon Creek from North Wales and eventually connecting with Fairmount Park’s Forbidden Drive. Participants can choose the length and pace of their walk (5, 8 or 14 miles). This year, due to restricted road access in Philadelphia for the Papal Visit, the challenge hike will go to 14 miles - it will end at the beautiful Bloomfield Meadow of Morris Arboretum just at the Philadelphia border. All of the walks are guided and participants are bussed back to the starting point.
