Birds & Brews: Winter Birding at Bombay Hook

10:00 a.m.

Meet at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is a wonderland tidal saltmarsh habitat, where we can see lots of cool wintering waterfowl and raptors. Northern shovelers, green-winged teal, tundra swans, snow geese, bald eagles, norther harriers… oh so many things. And if we want to venture along some of the more wooded trails, a variety of wintering sparrows and other songbirds are possible. After what is sure to be some fantastic birding, we can head to Brick Works Brewing and Eats, a brewery about 13 minutes away and basically on the way home.
